You pay for the sales
mera actually makes.
No monthly fee, no setup fee, and nothing to pay for a recommendation that doesn’t turn into a sale. mera takes a commission on order lines where the shopper bought the size we recommended, and on nothing else.
One rate, no fees
Charged only on order lines where the shopper opened mera and bought the size we recommended, excluding tax and net of refunds and cancellations.
A$0 to install. A$0 a month. A$0 per recommendation.

A month, worked through
Four shoppers used the widget and bought something. Here is exactly what you are charged.
| Order line | Recommended | Bought | Value | Commission | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Wool overcoat Bought the size we recommended | M | M | A$180 | A$9.00 | |
Linen shirt Shopper chose a different size | S | M | A$60 | — | |
Denim jacket Returned inside the return window | L | L | A$120 | — | |
Knit dress Bought the size we recommended | M | M | A$90 | A$4.50 | |
| Sold through the widget | Sold through the widget | A$450 | — | ||
| Net attributed to mera | Net attributed to mera | A$270 | A$13.50 | ||
A$13.50 on A$450 of sales the widget was involved in, an effective 3%. The headline rate applies to the A$270 we can stand behind, not to everything mera touched. The figures are an example, and you are billed in the currency your own sales are in.
What you are never charged for
A size we didn't recommend
The shopper opened mera, then bought a different size to the one we gave them. We were not the reason that sale happened, so we do not charge you for it.
Anything returned or cancelled
Refunds and cancellations inside the 30-day window remove the line from billing entirely. A partial refund reduces it. We wait the window out before charging precisely so this never has to be clawed back.
A sale we can't prove
If the purchased size can't be matched to a recommendation with certainty, the line is excluded. The benefit of the doubt goes to you, every time.
Recommendations that went nowhere
Views, photo captures, recommendations, shoppers who browsed and left, all free, however many there are. You are billed on outcomes, not on traffic.
How billing works
Set billing up once
Nothing can be charged until billing is in place. On Shopify you approve a commission subscription in your own admin, including a spend cap you set. Everywhere else you save a card on Stripe's own form. Until then the rate is just a number on a page.
A shopper buys the size we recommended
The widget tags the recommendation; the order webhook checks what was actually bought against it. Only an exact match becomes billable.
The line waits out 30 days
Your returns window has to close before the sale is real. Anything that comes back in that time is dropped and never billed.
The settled lines are charged
On Shopify, we add each sale's commission to your Shopify bill after the 30-day return window, and Shopify invoices you on its usual cycle. By card, we charge you once your settled commission reaches 25 in your own billing currency, or after 60 days, whichever comes first, and we email a receipt each time. That is A$25 for a store trading in Australian dollars and £25 for one trading in pounds, never a conversion between the two. Either way your dashboard itemises every line behind the figure.
The details
What counts
5% of each line's value excluding tax, after discounts and refunds. Never the order total.
Spend cap
On Shopify, you set a cap when you approve billing and we can't charge past it. Card billing has no cap.
Your card
Held by Stripe, never by us. Saving it lets us charge settled commission to it.
Currency
One currency, never converted by us. Mixed currencies are sorted out with you first.
Stopping
Cancel, uninstall or tell us, any time. Lines still inside the return window are never charged.
Records
Every charge is itemised in your dashboard. Card charges come with an emailed receipt, and tax invoices on request.
Tax
Where GST or a similar tax applies, it's added and shown separately, and we tell you before it's first charged.
